PROGRAM:  The Fastpitch program offers two levels of competition: Varsity and Junior Varsity (JV).  Cuts may be made depending on the number of interested participants. Kennedy Catholic Fastpitch competes in the North Puget Sound League (NPSL) at the 4A level (Tahoma, Stadium, Auburn Riverside, Auburn, Mount Raininer, Kentwood & Kentridge).

PRE-SEASON INTEREST MEETING: 

Wednesday, January 21, 2026 @2:40-3:00 PM in the school Cafeteria

REGISTRATION: Registration for Fastpitch is open on Arbiter, accessible via the school website. All interested student-athletes must be registered online and have current sports physical on file with the Athletic Office in order to participate on the first day.

Team rosters will be announced and posted on our webpage the evening of Tuesday, March 3.

Season Schedule: 

• Regular Season: March 2 – Friday, May 8, 2026
• District Playoffs: Friday, May 15 & Saturday, May 16 (Kent, WA)
• State Tournament: Friday, May 22 & Saturday, May 23 (Richland, WA)

Varsity Practice Schedule: 

• Monday-Friday: 3:15 PM- 5:00 PM

Game Times:

• Varsity Home Games: 3:30 PM
• Most Varsity Away Games: 4:00 PM (Tahoma @ 6 PM & Auburn Riverside @ 7 PM)

SPRING BREAK:

• Kennedy Catholic’s Spring Break is from Friday, April 3 to Sunday, April 12, 2026.  Games are scheduled during Spring Break and Varsity players are expected to be available and attend all scheduled games during this time.  Since Spring Break games are an important part of the season, availability during these dates is a consideration when determining Varsity roster placement.  Families are encouraged to plan accordingly.

HOME FIELD:

Practices and home games are held at North SeaTac Park & Ball Fields, located approximately 1.5 miles from campus.  North SeaTac features a dirt infield and grass outfield.

Due to weather or field conditions, practices may occasionally be moved to Valley Ridge Ball Fields, a turf facility located at 4644 S. 188th St., SeaTac, WA 98188

Depending on the weather, if we need to practice inside, we will do so in the KCHS Goodwin Gym and gym loft batting cages.  This will be communicated through the REMIND app.  Always be prepared with indoor tennis shoes or cleats/turf shoes.

All field change notifications will be communicated via REMIND.  

TRANSPORTATION: Transportation will be provided from school to North SeaTac or Valley Ridge Ball Fields for practices and home games.  Teammates may also carpool.  Transportation will also be provided for away games.  Athletes are required to ride the bus together to all away games.

Transportation is NOT provided after practices or games.  Athletes must arrange for a parent or guardian to pick them up following all activities.

COMMUNICATION: Coach McDonough uses REMIND for all team communication. Athletes and parents are required to sign up for the REMIND app and join the Fastpitch group.  The access code will be provided to athletes who make the team.  All updates regarding practices, games, schedules, and team announcements will be sent through REMIND.

• 7:15 PM – Fastpitch Parent Meeting – With Coach Amy McDonough & Coach Frank Scandiffio.  Attendance is mandatory for Fastpitch parents.
