PROGRAM: The Cross Country program at Kennedy Catholic offers varsity and junior varsity level competition and is a cut sport. A number of cross country meets and practices occur off campus. We compete in the North Puget Sound League (NPSL) at the 4A level.
REGISTRATION: Registration for summer and fall Boys Cross Country will open May 1, 2026 through Arbiter on the school website. Interested student-athletes must be registered online and have a current sports physical on file in order to participate on the first day.
TRYOUT/PRACTICES: The summer running program is highly beneficial for anyone who plans to join the team in the fall. The team typically meets Monday-Friday in the morning for organized runs in parks throughout the Puget Sound region. Contact Coach Rosser for more information.
The season officially begins on Monday, August 24, with a 3.1 mile tryout along the Cedar River Trail. Transportation to and from the try out will be provided.
To make the team, runners must complete the time trial in 30 minutes or less. Runners who are unable to complete the time trial in 30 minutes will be allowed to repeat the time trial in an effort to make the team. Repeated attempts must be complete by August 30.
Practices will be Monday-Friday from 2:45 – 5:00pm. Meet on the KCHS track by the blue field house.
COMPETITIONS: Athletes must attend 7 practices before becoming eligible to complete.
Home meets will be held at North SeaTac Park (Corner of Des Moines Memorial Drive South & S 128th Street in SeaTac).
